Presenting: The Swimsuit Mash-Up

Now that you’ve spent the entire winter season (or a least the last few weeks) working on that hot summer bod, it’s time to shimmy into the season’s hottest swimwear trends.  No matter your shape, there’s a suit for every body and almost every style is in style right now so pick your fave and head for the sandy beaches of wherever.

For you, we’ve created a mash-up of our favorite suits for laying about, soaking it up, and splashing around.  Faherty Brand is doing their share to help on the environmental front with swimwear made from recycled plastic bottles,  American Apparel keeps the one piece current with a grid print, and Victoria’s Secret blends classy and sexy with pretty sequins.  For the bold, Topshop’s Rainbow Wolf one piece will help get your point across.

Windowpane Is In and We’re Not Talking Home Improvement

Until Marni and Louis Vuitton sent their checkered and line-loving spring 2013 collections down the runway, windowpanes were the little glass squares we looked through to check the ever-changing weather.  This spring, thanks to some RTW inspiration, the windowpane trend has made its way into mainstream fashion, and wearing boxes is now an acceptable and flattering fashion statement.

From a paneled strapless swimsuit by Carine Gilson,  to breezy tops from Zara and Tibi, we’ve compiled a few of our favorite perpendicular pieces.  This season, getting new window treatments takes on a whole new meaning.

Florals are an extremely popular print to wear year round. The warmer months may be coming to an end, but blouses and dresses with a floral flare aren’t leaving. Leather is a favorite amongst ladies come fall and winter. It is not only so chic, but it’s right on trend now more than ever.

Sometimes floral prints may feel just a bit too feminine for the look you’re trying to achieve. Adding an edgy touch, such as a show stopping leather jacket, is a perfect way to combine the two styles. A leather jacket would look just right over a flirty floral dress and tights or a billowy blouse and skinny jeans. Find leather jackets in every color and at all price points. Rock them with a delicate garment underneath and you’re ready for a night out this fall.
